Roast'd
A family-owned Chinese restaurant offering traditional roast meat dishes, with the menu curated around their own family favourites. Not only is there Peking Duck and Pancake platter, there's also dumplings, roast meats on noodles or rice, some traditional meat fish/beef/vegetable dishes. For desserts there's house-made crepe cakes and the classic banana fritter.
THAI MILK TEA LATTE FLOAT $5
PRAWN SPRING ROLLS $9.80
The prawn spring roll was delicious with the sweet chilli sauce, but a bit salty on it's own, so using the sauce is recommended.
CHILLI PORK DUMPLINGS $13.80
The dumplings had good flavour with juicy meat, the chilli oil was spicy but just enough that it avoids burning my tongue endlessly.
ROASTED PORK BELLY ON NOODLE $12.80
I would have preferred the Pork Belly on Noodle to have the hoisin sauce on the side, rather than already dressed, as it overshadowed the pork's own flavour and texture. Other than that, each component, the noodle and meat, was well-made.
PEKING DUCK AND PANCAKE PLATTER 16 pcs $52.80
The roast duck certainly delivers with juiciness not only from the skin, but the actual meat part as well. The roast duck wrapped around thin pancakes paired with crunchy cucumber, aromatic coriander and sweet peking duck sauce provided a highly satisfying delicious meal. (I avoided the chilli!)
PANDAN WITH PANDAN COCONUT SAUCE $8
The crepe cake was exceptionally fluffy and creamy, with mildly sweet pandan flavour.
A great way to end the feast.
