I was highly eager to sample the Twice Cooked Brioche French ToastPresented in two thick pieces, the mixture permeated throughout the entire brioche creating a moist and smooth pastey texture. As the toast was rather mild, the addition of vanilla anglaise and chocolate sauce served to heighten the sweetness, with macadamia nut praline offering a contrasting nutty flavour. It was definitely a unique take on french toast, however I would like to see more juicy fruit pieces or ice cream/fresh cream to give that refreshing feel.

The Twice Cooked Pork Belly was extremely tender from the skin all the way to the meat, with no dryness in the protein at all. The cauliflower and parsnip puree provided an earthy and nutty flavour, which mellowed out the saltiness from the pork belly skin and just complemented it really well. Definitely one of the most well-executed pork belly dishes I've had in a cafe.

The Crab Omelette was a bit of a miss, while it contained real crab meat, it did little to emphasize the flavour of that seafood. The caramelised onion flavour did not really pair well with the overall dish. So although execution was not a problem I did find myself picking out only the parts I liked.

I rate this experience: 4/5
